From the Mediterranean beaches all the way to Lake Geneva, the ViaRhôna trail is 815 kilometers long and lets you follow the Rhône river between its birthplace and its estuary!
You will be able to witness an incredible variety of landscapes along the way (alpine vistas, Cote du Rhône vineyards or even lavender fields or olive groves) and discover about the local history, culture and of course gastronomy!
It’s up to you to choose which part of the trail suits you best and plan your own trip, whether it is a solo, couple, or family one!
The trail alternates between secured “green paths”, forbidden to motorized vehicles, and shared low-traffic roads.

Open to visitors since 1807, the Caves of La Balme are located a short 10 minutes away
from Lagnieu, in the heart of the La-Balme-les-Grottes village.
A natural maze of underground lakes, amphitheaters, terraces, basins, stalactites, stalagmite or draperies, take your time to fully enjoy the beauty and mysteries of the Caves of La Balme.
A visit typically lasts just over an hour, and the cave system is about 1.5 kilometers long.
